Delete your account
You can delete your account, and everything in it, from inside the app. It is immediate and it cannot be undone. If you no longer have the app, email support@poolslip.com and we will do it for you.
In the app
Settings → Delete account. You will be asked to type your business name to confirm, because a button that deletes a business on one tap is a button that deletes a business by accident.
Export first if you want a copy. Settings → Export visits as CSV gives you the visit records; ask us for a full export and we will send everything, including the access notes and the audit log. There is no way to get it back afterwards.
By email
Email support@poolslip.com from the address you signed up with, and say you want the account deleted. A person reads it. We reply within one business day, Australian Eastern time, and complete the deletion within seven days.
We will ask you to confirm from that address before deleting anything. If you cannot use that address any more, tell us and we will find another way to establish it is you — we will not delete a business on an unverified request.
What is deleted
- Every pool, visit and service report
- Every photograph, deleted from storage
- Every technician sign-in on this account
- The business itself
This includes the pool owner details you hold on your customers, the access notes, and the audit log. Nothing is archived and nothing is recoverable.
What is kept, and why
Records of subscription payments from Apple or Google are kept, as the law requires. They contain no details of your pools or your customers — they are a log of what the app stores told us about a payment, which is what makes a later refund or renewal explicable.
We keep nothing else. If you had no subscription, nothing is kept at all.
How long it takes
Deleting from inside the app is immediate. Storage objects go first, then the database rows, then the sign-ins — in that order, so that nothing can be left behind with no record pointing at it.
By email, within seven days of us confirming it is you, and usually the same day. Backups are retained for 30 days and then expire; we do not restore a deleted account from one.
Deleting your account removes your data — there is no separate request, and this page is the answer to both. See the privacy policy for what we hold and why, or support for anything else.
